Classic salad features sliced fresh mozzarella and tomatoes seasoned with fresh basil, olive oil, salt and pepper.
Ingredients -
2 pounds Ripe Tomatoes
1 pound Fresh Mozzarella
8-10 Fresh Basil Leaves, hand-shredded
1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Pepper and Salt, to taste
pinch of Oregano
1 tablespoon Salted Capers, or to taste
1/4 pound Pitted Black Olives, chopped
Preparation:
1. Slice the tomatoes into rounds, remove excess seeds and liquid.
2. Place tomato rounds on to plates.
3. Slice the mozzarella into rounds and place them over the tomatoes.
4. Season with fresh basil leaves, extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper.
