Salad Making Tips
Fresh Basil

Basil is a leafy plant from the mint family. There are a number of varieties of basil including lemon basil, anise basil, clove basil and cinnamon basil, each tasting similarly to its name. Most basil is green in color, although purple basil can be found. Basil is available year round, but summer is the peak harvest.
